About this section
The News section surfaces content from Reddit's news-focused communities, including r/worldnews. It sits on the main navigation bar alongside other major topics.
Posts are sorted like a typical Reddit feed, so headline items appear together with discussion comments on each story.
How sorting works here
- Hot — currently trending stories across the news communities.
- New — the most recently submitted links and self-posts.
- Rising — posts picking up votes early.
- Controversial — stories drawing mixed reactions.
- Top — highest-voted news over time.
